BE FLEXIBLE!!!

Hey Guys!! Well, Jekyll Island was interesting. The flags were out on the beach, so no swimming in the ocean, the pool was broken and the wind was blowing about 30 miles an hour, so no putt-putt. My free time consisted of sleep and watching "Father of the Bride." The 9 hour trip there was very trying... thank goodness we had tvs and movies to pass the time away. We watched "Pirates of the Carribbean" and "Radio" on the way there and "Spiderman" and "A Walk to Remember" on the way back, along with stopping at Cracker Barrell for breakfast and The Varsity for lunch.. YUMMY!! Although, all I will be eating for a few days is soup because my wisdom tooth is infected and the entire left side of my mouth really hurts. Didn't drive to school today because the pain medication is making me sleepy!!! It stinks. I just want to go home, crawl under my covers and sleep the day away. Oh well, Not going to happen.

Anyways, God definitely taught me flexibility on this trip and that things don't always work out the way I wanted them to or had planned for them to and that is ok. Because He is God and I am not(thank goodness)! Traffic was horrible on the way there, Hurrican Jeanne was coming our way. We were late for our first session the next morning, we stood in line for breakfast for 45 minutes and it was cold. We couldn't swim in the ocean, or in the pool. I got no homework done on the bus, because I get car sick. So, needless to say, things didn't work out according to Amber's plan, but God had His way. I learned a lot on this trip and I will be sharing some of those lessons learned in future blogs. Well, I must go eat lunch with David... I will probably be having soup. Talk to you guys later...
