Last Night!!

Last night, Anne, Jordan, Matt and I drive to Marietta to see Jesse Duplantis. We get there, get really good seats in the balcony and the preacher says he has an announcement. He puts his cell phone up to the microphone and we hear Jesse talking. He says that his charter jet malfunctioned and that he would have to reschedule. He was very apologetic and said that he would reschedule. I have to admit that I was disappointed. A few people left, but most stayed. This church was very pentecostal and there was dancing and shouting. The preacher spoke of when Jesus took five fish and two loaves of bread and fed 5000. It was awesome how he used it to relate to the current situation and how we don't have to have a man show up to have church, we just need God.

I must say that I went to Free Chapel for about six months and I never felt comfortable dancing and shouting before the Lord. Well, something stirred in me last night, and I just let loose. I don't know what it was, but I was dancing around and praising Jesus. It was an incredible feeling. Indescribable. The preacher laid hands on every person in the sanctuary with annointing oil and some people were healed. I don't know if you guys believe in that stuff, but I felt the Holy Spirit and I saw him working with my own eyes. It was great. I prayed for Anne's healing, for Daniel and Becky to come to know the Lord, for my little brother to get back on the right track and for my dad and I to grow closer. I also prayed for my brother and for God to prepare his heart to go to Iraq and for my sister-in-law to not worry about him. Then, I prayed for Costa Rica. Costa Rica has been on my brain for the past few months now and I'm not sure why... am I supposed to go there? Am I supposed to pray for them? Send them money? I have no clue... so I asked God to reveal it to me. So, last night was a sort of healing for me, I guess you could say.

Just continue to pray for things in your life. God will make a way. He will heal you and set you free!!! All you need is Jesus, not a flashy sermon, a great preacher or goosebumps....in the words of Anne Graham Lott....JUST GIVE ME JESUS!!!!
